Shari, Thank you so much for your CD. I have used it now for two years and when my former students come and visit me they always bring up how much they loved those songs. My students loved the "Funky Chicken Boogie" so much that they begged me put it in the end-of-the-year program and have the audience do it with us. It was a blast! The DVD of that night is awesome. I had more parents thank me for the best and most fun school program they had ever been to. I owe it all to you. Are you planning on recording any new Cd's? I'd be the first one in line to buy one! I purchased the 'Singing With Shari' CD at the GA Kindergarten Convention. Since then, I have played the CD almost every day for my class. They absolutely love it and ask for the songs on a regular basis. Their favorite songs are 'Funky Chicken Boogie,' 'I like to Count it Count it,' 'Vowel Bat and Stop,' 'Rock and Roll.' I have also made many of the Big Books to go along with the songs. The Big Books have been very useful in helping my children learn the words to the songs.

Just wanted to tell you that I played the CD for my students today and they went wild!!!!!! They loved the Funky Chicken!!!! I had to let you know-----they were so excited!!! They laughed and had the best time. I loved seeing them excited about school. My class has asked for the CD every day. They cannot get enough of it. The favorite of course is the "Funky Chicken Boogie," but they like all songs on the CD. They walk in the classroom in the morning asking for it.
Leigh Vance I attended the Texas Conference for Kindergarten Teachers in January and your ideas were absolutely wonderful and I took so many of them back to my classroom and my kids had so much fun! My children LOVED your songs and I put the big books in a center like you suggested and it was the most popular center in my room!!! In fact, we sang "Those Sounds" for our kinder class performance for my parents and we got SO many compliments! Your ideas brought back the spirit of kinder for me because we have so many guidelines and benchmarks we have to follow that I often felt like the kindergarten child was left behind. Sherry O'Dette We love your CD, School is Cool. The first graders favorites songs are Hello, Hi There, School is Cool, Vowel Bat, and Funky Chicken Boogie. We attended your conference in Des Moines, Iowa and have been collecting and purchasing items since! We have made the big books to go with the songs and absolutely LOVE the calendar book! Our principal and superintendant have commented on our glyphs and we can't tell you how much your CD enhances our program and makes school so much fun! We had our 6th grade buddies in to help us with our Santa letters and we have about 5 extra minutes so the 1st graders asked if they could teach some of the songs from your CD to them. The middle school kids LOVED it. IN fact, I had 5 of them come down with their friends and request the songs AFTER school the next day. SO here it is 3:45 on Friday and I have 5 middle school kids in my room singing School is Cool, Hello, Hi There and Funky Chicken Boogie. SO let me know when your next CD comes out!!!!! Emily Reeg My students enjoy School Is Cool. My children beg to do School is Cool and Funky Chicken everyday. Thanks for such good music. One of my little girls is so quiet. She doesn't talk much. She seemed to like music but had never really got involved. You should see her smile and sing and do the motion to School is Cool and Funky Chicken. That was worth more than the $15 I spent for the CD.

My students loved your new c.d.! My ELL students enjoyed the "La-La Spanish Song" One little boy spoke no English, only Spanish at the beginning of the year, and when we sang that song he just beamed! He knew something that my other students didn't know and he grew so much in confidence. I teach the EDK students which consists of approximately 15 of the lowest students entering kindergarten. Your "Sounds Around the Mountain" and "Those Sounds" are such a great reinforcement and fun way for my students to learn those concepts. I cannot thank you enough for what you do in the music CD's that you make. You make learning fun!
